Well Helloooo

School's over. 1 down, only 9 more semesters to go... The tests seemed to go fairly well actually (unless I did something stoopid, which is likely), all of my grades for TAing are turned in, and I've wished people Merry Christmas in return to happy holidays. >-)

I like Christmas. About a week ago we went out and purchased a real, formerly live Christmas tree. My eyes were perhaps a little bigger than the apartment, and now a large corner of our living room has dissappeared in a mass of pine needles, but after a sprinkling of lights, tinsle, and balls, the place is looking positively festive. One of the great things about finals during Christmas, is studying to the soft glow of colored Christmas lights. As a child I used to enjoy falling asleep as I gazed out my dewey bedroom window at fuzzy patches of color. The outside Christmas lights would defract into unfocused hazy blogs that gently affirmed the festive season we were all enjoying. I enjoy Christmas. This wonderous celebration of the incarnation will always have a special place in my heart.

Hmmm, that was odd. Where did that come from? I now see the need to keep blogging. I have come to the realization that the study of electromagnetic propogation and radation, and light interacting with dielectric mediums is not indusive to interesting or coherent writing. Well, perhaps in the next couple weeks I will attempt to re-energize this aspect of my soul...

Whatever...

See you all in January.

You're such an optimist, Jon!

Dustin, I think you should work on expressing your feelings through your research.

Dustin, you should work on expressing your feelings through poems. That one you wrote when you first started blogging...truly moved me.

How about expressing your feelings by writing a poem about your research?
